Poème de l'âme (16) : Le Vol de l’âme

How many ways are there to feel your soul pass through mine
I balance you on the tip of my heart sometimes
just to see your face as I recall it when you were small
and still your sweet voice sweeps through me when I least expect it
a tumult in my eyes
brings me to my knees
I look at pictures of other children and still see you
in your wildness
and in your strength.
may it always be so

Thank you Beth
I'm so glad you came back to this blog. It has such a homey feel. I am always in the throes of memories of my children/grandchildren and they warm my heart so much. I can feel down about so many things, but they definitely remind me of how truly blessed I am. Your poem says it so well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and commenting here Judy--this is the place where I sort myself out I think---and when I ran across pictures of little girls the other day, I was just undone--
DeleteLovely poem. One grandson in particular weighs on my heart in this way. He lives far away now but I cherish the memories. I see you are just starting out so adding my name. Look for me in the A to Z.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon! Not sure how to find you--the A to Z?
DeleteBeautifully written.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathryn
